This Sunday morning and for the rest of the year when it feels like you have been climbing this academic/work/life uphill forever, and there isn’t an end in sight, it is all too easy to feel like you can’t keep going, because it seems like you have to find the stamina for a never-ending journey. The good news is that all you have to do is just take one more step. That is all we ever have to do; all we can do, is take the next step.
The worst thing you can do at this stage is to give UP, it is also possible to be on the right track physically but mentally you are way off track and whilst physically you may still be in the fight but mentally you have long lost and given up. Having said that I invite you to take a moment and think of others who have given up just before reaching their goal, feeling like they couldn’t keep going, and that their efforts were in vain. There is a story that is told of a prospector who gave up and sold his tools when he was just three feet from striking gold.
It is in your hand not to be this type of casualty. Stop wondering if you have what it takes to keep going, and just put one foot in front of the other. Just point your body in the direction that you want it to go, stop thinking, and just do it, in short just put yourself on autopilot and keep doing your bit everyday till the next test/exam/challenge.
Remember losers quit when tired and winners quit when they have won.
